I am really in the Christmas spirit early this year but I don't care. Since I'm not hosting Thanksgiving at my house I feel that it's ok that I've already put away my fall decorations and brought out the Christmas. Plus, I'm not bringing out the Christmas tree until the weekend after Thanksgiving.
I am going for a woodland/outdoorsy theme this year with lots of metallics. I think that a lot of my decorations have a great winter look that they can stay up a little past Christmas and not look out of place.
Here is my favorite piece so far. This is my bar cabinet that I didn't really decorate last year but am LOVING it this year.
I found those great pinecone lights at Target for $9.
And the garland was half priced at Hobby Lobby. Only $3.50!
The star lantern was a souvenir I found in Austin, TX. I just stuffed the inside with white xmas lights to make it glow.
Here's a close up of the pinecone lights. They are covered with a little bit of glitter and give off a soft glow.
Stay tuned to see the rest of my Christmas decorations.

Thanksgiving is already 2 weeks from today! And even though I'm not hosting Thanksgiving I thought I would throw together a Thanksgiving themed table.
Check out Between Naps on the Porch for more tablescapes.
The table is full of fall colors.
The centerpiece is a cornucopia I found at Hobby Lobby.
This is a salad bowl and serving forks that I found at HomeGoods.
Acorn tealight candles.
And acorn salt & pepper shakers (HomeGoods).
My mom gave me these cute owl dishes.
Give thanks :)

I went to Goodwill for the first time on Friday. And it was a successful trip.
I found these cute appetizer plates for 99 cents a piece.
There were a few plates here and there so I had to do some hunting to put together a set of 10 plates. So my total came to $10.
They are a porcelain plate with a silver rim.
The design is pale blue and gray colored.
I thought they would be perfect for the winter or New Years. Maybe even Easter. Now I'm on the lookout for some cute silver appetizer forks or sticks.

This is our tree lined street and a series of these maple trees sit right outside our building. I think I could live on this street for the rest of my life if I could look at this everyday. Everytime I left the house or got out of my car, I couldn't help but take a minute to stare at the trees. The whole sidewalk seemed to be lit by the bright yellow canopy above. So beautiful!
And this is why fall is my favorite season.
