Cozy Spaces to Eat & Cook

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought I'd share some lovely pictures of dining rooms and kitchens I could see myself in while preparing for my feast.

A Thanksgiving Tablescape

Thanksgiving is already 2 weeks from today! And even though I'm not hosting Thanksgiving I thought I would throw together a Thanksgiving themed table.
Check out Between Naps on the Porch for more tablescapes.

The table is full of fall colors.
The centerpiece is a cornucopia I found at Hobby Lobby.
This is a salad bowl and serving forks that I found at HomeGoods.
Acorn tealight candles.

And acorn salt & pepper shakers (HomeGoods).

My mom gave me these cute owl dishes.

Give thanks :)

Goodwill Was Good To Me

I went to Goodwill for the first time on Friday. And it was a successful trip.

I found these cute appetizer plates for 99 cents a piece.
There were a few plates here and there so I had to do some hunting to put together a set of 10 plates. So my total came to $10.
They are a porcelain plate with a silver rim.
The design is pale blue and gray colored.
I thought they would be perfect for the winter or New Years. Maybe even Easter. Now I'm on the lookout for some cute silver appetizer forks or sticks.

Why I Love Fall

This is our tree lined street and a series of these maple trees sit right outside our building. I think I could live on this street for the rest of my life if I could look at this everyday. Everytime I left the house or got out of my car, I couldn't help but take a minute to stare at the trees. The whole sidewalk seemed to be lit by the bright yellow canopy above. So beautiful!
And this is why fall is my favorite season.

Wedding Anniversary Tablescape

It's time again for Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Between Naps on the Porch.

Sunday is my and my husband's first wedding anniversary. So I decided to do a tablescape that had our wedding colors and resembled our reception tables.

Our wedding colors were cream, sage green and chocolate brown.

Half of our reception tables had flower filled pumpkins as the centerpiece and the other half had vases filled coffee beans and a birch candle.

Here are some pictures of the centerpieces.

Here's a little champagne and cocktail napkins with our new monogram.

These are the actual candles from the reception that we bought at Target. I still light them all the time and they have lasted the whole year!

I had these two pinecone candles and decided to use them to resemble the pinecone placecards from the wedding.

(from the wedding)

The placecards from the wedding were printed and stamped by me so I had a few left over and thought I could use them again for holidays or other get togethers.

Check out the rest of my wedding pictures here, here and here.
