Sweet Summer Tablescape

Congrats to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting her 100th Tablescape Thursday!

Here's my contribution:

My tablescape is based around this piece of fabric I bought recently. I would like to make table napkins out of it. But until then, it's my tablecloth :)

Lots of summer yellows and bright oranges.

My favorite plates from Crate & Barrel.

My mom's friend just gave me this vintage coffee carafe. It's to tell in this picture but it's a great light gold color. Perfect for summer iced coffee!

My husband moved our table against the window so he could fix our ceiling fan. We've kept it there for a few days now since it gives us more room to walk from the dining room to the kitchen. Our apartment is so tiny :) But I kind of like that you can sit, eat and gaze outside the window.

  1. Megan, I love your awesome view, it's just beautiful! What a great tablescape, I have seen your charger plates Crate and Barrel and now I want them,, they look great with your wonderful dishes!

Isn't it fun to play with dishes? I am happy I found your blog!

  2. Oh, that IS wonderful fabric! It looks great with your Crate and Barrel flowered plates, and I love the vintage touches you've added! Isn't Crate and Barrel a fun store?

  3. What pretty dishes! That fabric looks great with them. I love eating where I can look outside or BE outside.

  4. Oh, I do like the table against the window. Your table setting is so fun. Those plates are adorable and I really like the chargers. What an interesting decanter (pitcher?). Thanks so much for sharing.

  5. I really like this table, so bright and cheery! You really did a great job putting it all together. Take care, Mary :O)

  6. What a cute table inspired from a fun and playful tablecloth. I like your carafe. Good idea to use it for iced coffee, so refreshing.

    All the Best,

  7. What a pretty table. Love that "tablecloth" too, super colors. I like your table by the window, I'll bet it is fun to eat with a view! Thanks for sharing.

  8. Lovely table. The coffee carafe is so unique and distinctive. Those plates are wonderful. Great job.

  9. Megan,
I love the combination of your tablecloth, the plates and the chargers. That looks awesome good together. What a clever idea to serve the coffee and sugar/cream at the tray. The coffee carafe is really an outstanding design. Thank you for sharing your sunny table.
    Greetings, Johanna

  10. Megan, the fabric is so complementary to those great plates. I love having my table in front of the windows until it is time to take photographs!

  11. Megan, your chargers would have worked beautifully at my house this week. I think I need to go buy something similar.
Your C&B plates are very pretty & will serve you well for many, many years.
The vintage carafe is a true keeper. Classic lines & you could use it for OJ at a brunch, too, someday.

  12. How cute is this!!? Always a job well done! :)

  13. Hi Megan!
Beautiful tablescape! How lovely being able to be so close to the window and look that idea! Your table is so warm and inviting...feels like the perfect spot to share a meal with family or friends.
