This past Saturday was my beginner's sewing class at The Needle Shop.
The Needle Shop is this cute little fabric store in Bucktown, Chicago.
There are so many beautiful fabrics to choose from. Such bright colors and fun patterns.
The workshop is in the basement of the shop. (This isn't my class- I found these images on Flickr).
And here is the pillow I made!
I love it and am so proud that I made it all by myself.
There is even a hidden zipper! How fancy!
It looks great in my living room. I can't wait to make more and move onto a new project.
Oh Megan, I'm so jealous! Tell me, how was it?! How was sewing the zipper?? I am going to stick to flapped envelope folds until someone can show me the zipper trick. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...so easy! It looks complicated but when you break it down step-by-step, it's so do-able. I know you can do it! They sent us home with the step-by-step instructions so maybe I could re-type it up and email it to you.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive, zipper and all.
